Safeguarding

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Everyone at ADHD Health shares responsibility for keeping children and adults at risk safe from harm, abuse and neglect.

Our safeguarding lead

Our safeguarding lead is our medical director, Dr Helen Carter. You can contact them on 0306 999 0123 or hello@adhdhealth.co.uk.

What we do

  • All staff have enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training at the level their role requires
  • We confirm the identity of patients, and of parents and carers giving consent for a child
  • We follow the procedures of the relevant local safeguarding partnership
  • We record concerns carefully and review them regularly

Sharing information

If we’re worried that someone is at risk of serious harm, we may share information with social services, the police or other professionals, even without consent. Wherever it’s safe to, we’ll talk to you first.

If you’re worried about someone

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. If you’re worried about a child, you can contact your local council’s children’s social care team, or the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000. To raise a concern about our service, contact our safeguarding lead.
