Dr Arjun Mehta

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr Arjun Mehta is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist. He assesses children and young people aged 6 to 17 for ADHD and looks after their treatment.

About

Arjun is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist. He assesses children and young people aged 6 to 17. If you, your child and he decide that medication is worth trying, he also looks after their treatment through titration and medication reviews, including the review needed at least once a year.

He works closely with parents and schools, because ADHD can look different at home and in the classroom. He makes sure the young person’s own views are heard, and older children and teenagers can talk to him on their own for part of the assessment.

The assessment is a 60-minute video appointment with the child or young person and their parent or carer, after home and school questionnaires. The family-focused report and plan reach you within 48 hours. Young people aged 16 and 17 can book and consent for themselves, and a parent or carer is welcome to join. Under 16, a parent or guardian books, consents and attends.
