Costs and choosing a clinic
Private ADHD assessments are priced very differently across the UK, and a lower or higher price does not tell you whether a clinic is right for you. This section helps you compare like with like and ask the right questions before you pay. Market prices change, so the guides give dated ranges with sources, and explain what a fee should include: the questionnaires, the report, a letter to your GP, and what happens afterwards if you want treatment.
Costs do not stop at the assessment. If medication is right for you, there may be titration appointments, private prescription fees, medication reviews and the cost of the medicine itself at the pharmacy. The guides show how a first year can add up, and what changes if your GP agrees to take over prescribing.
NHS routes, including Right to Choose in England, have no fee for the assessment but can involve a wait. They are covered in our NHS and shared care guides. To see our own prices in one place, go to our fees, and to understand how our process works before you compare clinics, see how an online ADHD assessment works. Start with the cost guide below, then read the questions to ask any clinic.
